Taking our container service provision to the next step , we have invested in an Intermodal Depot placed in the Heart of the Balkans. We have been working actively to expand our capacities to a more stable diversification of the freight routes which are being serviced through our Container terminal. That is why we developed an intermodal solution for our clients, which ensures quick and reliable container deliveries to/from the hinterland as well as to Europe’s network of intermodal terminals.

Key location

The Depot has been designed to accommodate railway freight traffic between Burgas Port and Sofia. Various domestic and international links both at the start and at the end of this railway route allow for convenient container deliveries between the port and the end customers. The Depot lays along the railway line “Sofia-Bankya” and its direct link to it allows for quick and easy access to the Orient/East-Med Corridor of the TEN-T.

Convenient logistics

Located in the Industrial Zone of Sofia District and well integrated in the Bulgarian road and rail transport networks, the Depot offers convenient solution for container drop-offs or pick-ups. Apart from the convenient railway link the Depot is favored by its proximity to the Sofia Ring Road – a beltway surrounding the capital city. A 5-kilometer ride it taking you to this major thoroughfare which connects all industrial zones in the city outskirts to state major highways – Trakia (A1), Hemus (A2), Struma (A3) and Europe (A6).

The Terminal serves our clients as part of the BMF Port Burgas’ temporary and bonded territory.

At-port-terminal experience

Same NAVIS N4 user operations. Practically no difference if a container is lifted at or picked up from port terminal or Dry Port Sofia.

Single point of communication: ACT Burgas oversees operations at both the port terminal and BMF Dry Port Sofia.
