MF Port Burgas was established back in 2011 in Sofia, Bulgaria as part of the family run holding group – Advance Properties OOD. Ever since, BMF Port Burgas has substantially invested in the modernisation of the Burgas Port terminals in pursuance of its growth objectives.

The port’s strategic location combined with the positive development over the years and the great potential for future growth made BMF Port Burgas a particularly desirable asset to invest in. In 2022 the Three Seas Initiative Investment Fund S.A. SICAV-RAIF (‘3SIIF’) has acquired a significant interest in BMF Port Burgas, in line with the Fund’s objective to improve connectivity within the Three Seas Region.

The investment in BMF Port Burgas represents 3SIIF’s first direct investment in Bulgaria.

The Three Seas Initiative Investment Fund

3SIIF is a dedicated commercial fund targeting infrastructure investments in Central and Eastern Europe (‘CEE’). The Fund invests in energy, transport and digital infrastructure in European Union (‘EU’) CEE member states which border the Baltic, Adriatic and Black Seas where the demand for long-term commercial investment into national infrastructure is among the highest in the EU.
